Don’t worry I’ve been trying to figure out how to get Louis in a problematic royalty relationship for months now but obviously it couldn’t be traditional royalty au bc fuck I look like putting my black princess in the French royal court in 1780 I’m so sick. but Lestat would be French royalty who are historically less stuffy than the English monarchy although of course just as evil. Louis however will be the son of an old money wealthy southern black family who run and win on the basis of being center right in every thing except race which even then they are like “yes we can ❤️” and do nothing else. If you can imagine such a thing 😂 So then it’s very easy to still make Louis deeply closeted and miserable like please. I will find a way to make Louis depressed in every lifetime

There’s nothing Haitians love to say more than “are you not ashamed/embarrassed?” Except in creole there’s only 3 syllables to the phrase so it flows better plus Haitians are natural haters so everything sounds more judgmental but I say this to say that every time I see the way Jacob acts around Sam I’m like “ou pas wont ?” and it synthesizes the feeling so succinctly I wish I could transfer the full connotative blow of that term. I can’t manage more than 3 syllables. Literally is he not embarrassed
